3 Signs You Need a New Website

Is it time for a new website? How do you decide?

If you’re somewhere in the land of decision on this issue, I’ve listed three key indicators that it’s time for an upgrade below.

  1. You avoid telling people about your website/directing them to it.

Ok, so you’ve got a website… that’s great!! But do you find that when it comes down to it, you’re hesitant about telling people about it? Maybe this is because it’s outdated or something you put together quickly or just aren’t happy with. Whatever the reason, if you’re embarrassed about your website, that’s a sure sign it’s time for a new one. You want your online home to be something you’re proud of, and a place you WANT people to go.

  2. Your current website is not converting.

If you’re not seeing results (aka business growth) from your current website, it’s most likely time to make a change. This could be an indicator that your website is confusing or not user-friendly. Maybe people don’t know where to go, or what exactly you do when they land on your homepage. And if they don’t know what to do within second of landing on your website, they’re probably not going to stay long enough to figure it out.

  3. You website doesn’t accurately reflect you or or business.

If you’re like me, you want your business to be continually evolving and growing. Maybe you launched a website when you started your business, and that website no longer accurately represents all you do or have to offer. OR, maybe you’ve re-branded, streamlined your process, or you’re ready to take your online presence seriously for the first time. Regardless of the reason, if you’re current website doesn’t feel like “you” or line up with your brand, it’s time for a change! Consistency is key.
